On May 22, 2014, the European Union published a new version of the radio equipment directive red 2014 / 53 / EU, which was based on the new CE framework resolution 768 / 2008 / EC of the European Union. Red 2014 / 53 / EU replaced the original EU Radio Equipment Directive R & tte-d 1999 / 5 / EC. There is a two-year transition period. From June 13, 2016, the original R & TTE Directive 1999 / 5 / EC will be repealed, and products that have been evaluated according to the old directive can continue to be sold until June 13, 2017.
RED product certification scope
1. Short distance wireless remote control products (SRD) such as: remote control toy car, remote control alarm system, remote control doorbell, remote control switch, remote control mouse, keyboard, etc.
2. Professional radio remote control products (PMR), such as: professional wireless walkie talkie, wireless microphone, etc.
3. Radiophone CTO, CT1, CT1 +
4. ISDN (digital telephone product)
5. DECT (enhanced digital radiotelephone)
6. GSM and CDMA test of mobile phone
7. Bluetooth products such as Bluetooth headset.
8. Inductive data transmission equipment with working frequency < 9 kHz.

Red test items
1. EMC test (EMC test)
2. Safety test LVD (in the new directive, this test is also required for RF products with battery input)
3. Radio communication equipment test (RF test) according to European ETSI standard
4. Notification of spectrum allowed in Europe
5. CTR (TBR) test
6. Electrical safety and health protection test (SAR evaluation) ATS full test test with EMC full set of equipment
