According to the types of certification, the current product certification can be divided into: national compulsory product certification and non compulsory product certification.

CU-TR认证

Certification profile

Cu-tr is the abbreviation of customs union technical regulations certificate, which is translated into customs union certificate. This certification was formulated by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and the mark is EAC. Therefore, the cu-tr certification is also called EAC certification, which was officially implemented on March 15, 2013.

Matters needing attention

1. The applicant of Cu certificate must be an enterprise or entrepreneur in the Customs Union country, and the name of the foreign company can only be reflected on the certificate as the manufacturer.

2. The certification cycle is longer than the original gost certification because it involves testing and auditing. The original gost certification cycle is 5-7 working days, and the current certification cycle needs about 2 months.

COC inspection

Certification profile

COC is the abbreviation of certificate of conformity certificate. We usually call it COC conformity certificate. COC certificate is generally used for customs clearance at the destination port. COC certification is the certification of countries in the Middle East and Africa. Different countries have different COC standards, but the standards are basically the same, just called different.

COC and SASO

SASO is the abbreviation of Saudi Arabian Standards Organization. Because when the product certification system was implemented in 1995, the management department responsible for this certification system was Saudi Standards Bureau. Many people are accustomed to the Saudi compliance certification that was first implemented, which is called SASO certification.

For COC, most certification can be called COC, such as CE certification. SASO is also a kind of COC, and COC certificate is the last step to complete SASO certification.

One test, multinational approval

Major countries involved: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Kurdish region of Iraq and Tanzania, Iran, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya and Algeria.

Precautions (take SASO as an example)

1. The words "make in China" shall be printed on the products and packages or labels; (make in China must be reflected on the products and packages in a non removable way and cannot be pasted with ordinary stickers).

2. Plug: the plug must be a British three pin plug.

3. Voltage frequency requirement: 60Hz.

4. Since the SASO standard basically follows IEC, ISO and EN standards, the application certificate can generally be applied with CE or CB report.

Inspection method

1. Batch inspection: suitable for customers whose export frequency is less than 3 times a year, convenient and flexible.

2. Registration and batch (check): obtain the registration certificate through product type test, valid for one year. One year exports can be exempted from retesting, only need to carry out on-site verification. It is suitable for customers with high export frequency, simple procedures and reasonable cost.

3. QM certification and batch data review: QM (quality mark) certificate is obtained through product type test and factory inspection, with validity of three years and maintained by annual supervision. Within three years, the export can be exempted from retesting and on-site verification, only data review is required. It is suitable for customers with large export volume and stable export. The procedure is more simple and the cost is more reasonable.
